| About Robin:
Robin is 24 years old and the youngest of Alan and Elizabeth's three
daughters. Robin spent most of her formative years in North Bend,
Oregon where she excelled academically at North Bend High and played on
the softball and basketball teams. She received her BA degree in
elementary education at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington in
2007. Robin is currently in her second year as the third grade teacher at Curlew Elementary School. She is also the assistant coach for the high school girls basketball team. Unfortunately, because she is the newest member of the faculty, she was recently notified that her teaching contract will not be renewed next year because of state budget cuts. Next year she plans to substitute at both Curlew and Republic schools hoping that a job will come up. About Shane: Shane is 29 years old and the middle child of Jerry and Karen Phillips with an older brother and younger sister. Shane grew up in Curlew, Washington and graduated from Curlew High School in 1998. From there he got his electrician license and worked with his brother in Spokane for several years. Last summer he moved back up to Curlew and started doing independent electrical work. In the past year he has also acquired his contractor's license. Shane has kept very busy up in Curlew doing both electrical and construction work. About the Couple: Robin and Shane met October 2007 on a blind date set up by Shane's sister-in-law, Vicki. Vicki was also the mother of one of Robin's students. They hit it off and started spending more and more time together. Shane was living in Spokane at the time so they both spent many hours in the car going to see each other. They got engaged January 14, 2009. |
